Dear Harpswell Families and Community Members,

Welcome to Harpswell Community School, or HCS as it’s affectionately known. We proudly serve the students of Harpswell Neck, Great, Orr, and Bailey islands, all connected by historic bridges. If you are new to town or have been here for generations, you belong here.

Our doors and hearts are open to every student who walks through them. Together, we create a place where students learn, grow, and belong. Community is at the heart of everything we do; we believe that education is a shared experience built on strong relationships and mutual respect.  We work diligently to create an environment where all students feel safe and empowered to be their authentic selves.

We are deeply committed to academic excellence, critical thinking, and lifelong curiosity. We provide rigorous, engaging instruction that prepares our learners not just for the next grade level, but for meaningful lives as thoughtful, capable citizens.
